Session 1
Astronaut School
June 17 – June 21* No class Wed 6/19 for Juneteenth holiday
Ever wonder how you become an astronaut? Join us as we prepare for a cosmic journey to outer space with tunnel crawls, gravity lifts and space geared snacks to fuel our bodies. Astronauts will be given the chance to use a “flight simulator” to practice their flying skills while brainstorming and crafting their rocket ship... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!!
Session 2
Space Exploration
June 24 – June 28
Embark on a journey and explore the universe! We will build a space station and learn why astronauts float in outer space. Our rocket ships will take us on a galactic ride to far away stars, planets and even the moon. Join us as we create our own galaxy.
Session 3
Olympic Training
July 08 – July 12
Hancock Nursery School invites your children to the 2024 HNS Summer Olympics. They will begin with the Opening Ceremony and torch lighting announcing the start of the Olympics! They will create their own personal flag, join in water sports and move their bodies with lots of running, jumping and throwing. You never know, there may be a future Olympian among us.
Session 4
Olympic Events & Ceremonies
July 15 - July 19
It’s the Olympics. Ready. Set. Go! Help us practice like our Olympians. Learn how to fuel your body like an athlete and work together like a team through relay races, long jumps, obstacle courses and pool noodle javelin. We will learn about good sportsmanship and say goodbye to teammates as we celebrate closing ceremonies!
Registration
Registration opens March 30 for non-HNS families, provided space is available.
Complete the on-line form. A confirmation email will be sent within 24-hours once your child’s registration has been received and space confirmed.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $150 per child/per session is required to register for summer program, payable within 48 hours of space confirmation.
Payments must be made via HNS’ PayPal on-line link. The deposit will be credited to your summer program tuition balance.
If registering after May 13th, payment in full is required at the time of registration.
Tuition Balance and required forms
All required forms will be sent via email on April 1, 2024. Summer Program tuition balance (paid via Paypal) and forms are due by April 29, 2024.
Refund Policy
A refund, less the non-refundable deposit, is provided to summer program families who cancel in writing on or before April 29, 2024
After April 29, NO REFUND IS AVAILABLE. Refunds are not given for participant dismissal, failure to attend, absence or sick days. If HNS must cancel a session, you will receive a full refund. Note: Sessions must have 12 students enrolled in order to run.
A child cannot attend the summer program and their spot is not guaranteed until all forms, waivers, and payments (via PayPal) are received.
Our summer program helps children try out new things, meet new friends and get ready for the upcoming school year.
There is no better time than the relaxed, carefree days of summer to remember that play is the cornerstone of children’s learning. With this in the forefront of our minds, we’ve designed an engaging, laid back community for children to expand their imaginations and explore their environments.
Each week will revolve around new explorations and experiences with friends.
