Hancock Nursery School Inc. is a non-sectarian, non-profit preschool housed in the Hancock United Church of Christ, which is located in the heart of Lexington across from the Battle Green. The school is completely supported through tuition and fundraising events, and we pay rent to the church for use of the classroom, offices and storage spaces.
Hancock Nursery School Inc. (HNS) and their educators are licensed and certified by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). The teaching staff provides a curriculum recommended by the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and follows the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Our School is governed by a Board of Directors that meets on a monthly basis. The Board of Directors consists of the Executive Director, teacher representative, parent representative, Parent Committee representative, Treasurer of the school, and outside community members. The school by-laws define the delegation of authority and are always available to parents for review.
